MIAR Arts welcomes Dalloun

Dalloun makes sublime, beautiful tea bowls decorating the work with terra sigillata.

Terra sigillata is made from clay, mixed as a very thin liquid slip and settled to separate out with only the finest particles used. When applied to unfired clay surfaces it can be polished with a soft cloth to achieve a shine ranging from a smooth silky lustre to a high gloss.

Dalloun almost exclusively makes tea bowls and sources his clay from the countryside around his studio.
